Gary Winnick, Chairman & Founder
Gary Winnick is an international financier and philanthropist with a
global investment career spanning more than three decades. He is Chairman
and Chief Executive Officer of Pacific Capital Group, a diversified
private equity investment firm. Mr. Winnick was also a Senior Vice
President at Drexel Burnham Lambert.
Pacific Capital Group has invested in a selective group of industries,
such as material science, real estate, health care and telecommunications,
including Global Crossing, of which Mr. Winnick was Founder and Chairman.
Global Crossing laid the first privately financed underwater fiber optic
cable across the Atlantic and partnered with Microsoft and Softbank Corporation
to build a high capacity telecommunications network in Asia. The Global
Crossing network spans a total of 130,000 miles worldwide. Mr. Winnick
is a member of the board of the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) and the Simon
Wiesenthal Center and he is a recipient of the Wiesenthal Center’s
Humanitarian Laureate Award. He received an Honorary Doctorate from Long
Island University.
John C. Cushman, Co-Chairman
An American real estate legend, Mr. Cushman serves on several other boards,
including global real estate services firm Cushman & Wakefield, Inc.
where he is also chairman; ARTOC Universal Properties in Cairo, Egypt;
D.A. Cushman Realty Corporation; and Callaway Golf Company. Mr. Cushman
recently completed a two-year term as National President of the Boy Scouts
of America. He currently serves on the board of the California Region
I Homeland Security Advisory Council and the Los Angeles World Affairs
Council. Mr. Cushman is a director of the National Park Foundation and
the Real Estate Roundtable, and is a trustee of the Urban Land Institute – all
in Washington, DC. In 2007, Mr. Cushman received The Hundred Year Association
of New York’s Gold Medal “in recognition of outstanding contributions
to the City of New York.”
Tom Schneider, President and Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Schneider is an Ohio native and a graduate of Myers University Mr. Schneider
is an Ohio native and a graduate of Myers University training classes at the
Wharton School of Business. Mr. Schneider has had a diverse and progressive
career leading sales, marketing and manufacturing operations globally. While
with RockwellAutomation Mr. Schneider led marketing for the $4B control and
information group and with Eaton Corporation he led sales, marketing and service
for the $2B Hydraulics division.Prior to joining iCrete Mr. Schneider was the
President & CEO for RMI Worldwide.
Trevor Gregory, President, iCrete International
Mr. Gregory has 36 years experience in the construction industry. He has been
resident in Hong Kong for 26 years. He has worked throughout Asia and in the
Middle East as well as in the United Kingdom, Micronesia and New Zealand. He
has been instrumental in the introduction of leading edge technology systems
in construction, especially those related to concrete and related products.
Mr. Gregory’s role within iCrete includes overseeing of all operations
in Asia, Australasia and the Middle East.
Mr. Gregory is Member of Institute of Civil Engineers, U.K. (1982); a
Fellow of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers; a Member of the Institution
of Arbitrators; and a Member of the Academy of Experts. In addition, he
is the current Chairman of the Hong Kong Rugby Football Union; President
of the Hong Kong Concrete Repair Association and Immediate Past Chairman
of the Glassfibre Reinforced Concrete Association (based in UK).
Mr. Gregory has an Honours Degree in Civil Engineering from the United
Kingdom.
Per Just Andersen, Chief Scientist
Dr. Per Just Andersen, Ph.D., is one of the world’s leading experts in
the materials science of concrete, and was the initial developer of the iCrete
technology. He has more than 28 years experience in concrete technology and has
pioneered many advanced technologies in the use of concrete, clay, silica, paper
and biodegradable packaging materials. Dr. Andersen is the co-inventor of over
170 US and foreign patents.
Dr. Andersen has served as Senior Vice President of the Product Engineering
Division of E. Khashoggi Industries (EKI) since 1992 and as the Chief Science
Officer of Earthshell Corporation 2001-2003.
Dr. Andersen earned his Doctorate from The Technical University of Denmark.
He also holds Master’s Degrees in Materials Science from the Materials
Research Laboratory at Pennsylvania State University, and earned a second
Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from The Engineering University
of Denmark.
Craig Whitfield, Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Whitfield has more than 25 years experience in corporate finance and was
previously Director of Finance at iCrete. Prior to joining iCrete, he was
Chief Financial Officer and Vice President at Trailer Park Inc and at Creative
Domain, which was acquired by Trailer Park in 2006 – both leading providers
of motion picture marketing services to the entertainment industry.
Mr. Whitfield has been Controller at Intellisys, which was a leading network
integrator; at 4MC, which provides postproduction services to Hollywood;
and at the magazine and book services division of ARAMARK, which is the
nation’s largest wholesale publications distributor.
Mr. Whitfield has also served as a Senior Auditor in the Los Angeles office
of Peat Marwick Main & Company, now part of the international financial
auditing firm of KPMG.
Mr. Whitfield graduated Cum Laude from California State University, Fresno,
with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. He is a Certified Public
Accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Bernard Benson, Vice President of Technology Development
Mr. Benson is an internationally recognized expert in industrial plant productivity
and engineering who has driven the application of “general purpose” computing
technology and software in the construction materials industry.
He was previously an executive with The Boeing Company, where he was recognized
for technical excellence by NASA and the U.S. Air Force for contributions to
the U.S. Space Shuttle and other programs involving space exploration and national
defense. Mr. Benson is the former chief executive officer of BMG Corporation,
which was acquired from the construction equipment division of Boeing, and of
Seltec Corporation, which he purchased in1990. His work and technical advances
with both companies has profoundly transformed the asphalt, concrete and aggregate
industries in North America.
Mr. Benson is a licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.), and holds an MS degree
in Engineering from the University of Washington in Seattle.
Kirk Deadrick, Director of Technical Service
Mr. Deadrick has 24 years of experience in the concrete industry. Prior
to joining iCrete, he was Director of Quality Assurance for Lafarge AC&A
and responsible for all quality departments in the Eastern region. He
previously served as Southeast Regional Manager for Technical Services
at WR Grace & Co. where he tested new products for development.
During his career, Mr. Deadrick has also held executive positions at Roanoke
Concrete Supply and Florida Rock Industries.
Mr. Deadrick received his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
from the Virginia Military Institute.
Jack Holley, Director of Concrete Development
Mr. Holley has 35 years of experience in the design and control of concrete,
from basic conventional mixes to the high performance concretes required
by the vast and record-setting eight-mile-long Confederation Bridge Project
which now links Prince Edward Island with the New Brunswick mainland
in Canada. He has received the Construction Practice Award, one of the
highest honors bestowed by the American Concrete Institute.
Mr. Holley worked nearly a quarter of a century for Lafarge, today the
world’s largest cement producer. Before leaving Lafarge, Mr. Holley
was a company vice president and the senior-most executive in charge of
quality assurance and new product development – a position he held
for fourteen years. Before joining LaFarge, Mr. Holley was a senior consultant
at Acres International and project manager for that company’s role
in the building of several of the world’s largest hydroelectric projects
in North America, Africa, and India.
